SeaYou Dubai have been given the green light to become Starboard Windsurfing’s first official foil center. It will be the first fully-fledged windfoil center in the world.

Before the launch, Starboard Windsurfing’s brand manager and lead foil designer Tiesda You was quoted, saying:
“Flying over the sea without a sound, zipping along silently close to thirty knots. What could be more fun? The foil adventure begins.”
It takes very little wind to lift the board and fly. In fact, you start to plane at 6 knots and once you are up on the foil, the feeling you get is as if you’re floating above water.
Starboard’s foil center will be based out of Palm Jumeirah, a man-made island in Dubai home to many luxury hotels. The Starboard Foil Center will be a one of a kind and a first in the Middle East. And it will be managed by SeaYou Dubai, a non-motorized watersports center that have been operating in the UAE for the last 5 years.
In order to attract windsurfers around the world, SeaYou Dubai has partnered with a 5-star hotel. Together, they’re offering attractive hotel and flight packages which will see guests from all over the world coming to Dubai to experience Starboard Windsurfing’s first ever foil center.
Thanks to our experienced instructors, guests of all abilities will get to enjoy lessons and rentals on Starboard’s newest foil collection with all the Starboard foils and boards available.
It will launch on Friday 17th November at The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery by Sofitel. We are inviting local and international press to experience the first Starboard Foil Center before its grand opening.
