THE iQFOIL CONCEPT AT A GLANCE
iQFOIL 95: Our most high-performance foil racing board that is capable of upwind/downwind racing on a fin if the conditions get really tough. 95cm wide for convenient air travel, designed to take off smoothly from 6 knots, powerful in light winds, controllable in strong winds, convertible to fin mode and built in durable and lightweight Carbon Reflex technology.
iQFOIL 85: The Junior and Youth model with its shape based on the iQFoil 95 with reduced proportions to adapt to lighter riders. Additional footstrap positions and reduced rail cutaway sizes improves performance in fin mode. The iQFoil 85 is built in Starboard’s new Starlite Carbon technology for the highest performance at a lower price point.
The newest evolution of the Starboard Foil’s ground-breaking Race foil – the double World-Champion PWA Racing Foil that has won more events than any other. The iQFoil foil set includes the new 115 Plus fuselage, an additional 95cm Plus fuselage to enable exciting racing formats that include GPS, Point-to-point and marathon races and a new extra stiff and high performance mast.

THE iQFOIL IN DETAIL
STARBOARD IQFOIL FOIL SET
Back to back 2017/2018 World Champion and Vice World Champion, making it the most successful racing foil in windsurfing to date: Starboard’s Race foil started the iQFoil project and it is the foil that made foiling in the Olympics a possibility. Its innovative racing geometry was the breakthrough that enabled foiling to cover Windsurfing Olympics’ wind range and performance requirements. Compared to the original Race foil, the iQFoil foil set has been upgraded with a stiffer UHM Carbon mast and a 900 front wing for extra light-wind performance. It comes with two new Plus fuselages, the 115cm Plus for upwind downwind racing and the 95cm Plus for higher winds and racing formats with more reaching. The Plus fuselages have an adjustable tail wing angle that allows the rider to increase control in high winds or increase power in light winds.
Components: 900 front wing | 255 tail wing with -2 degree | 115 Plus fuselage | 95 Plus fuselage | 95cm iQFoil mast
THE NEW iQFOIL 95
Dimensions: 220x95cm. 196 liters
The iQFoil 95 trims the width down to facilitate transport as check-in baggage. At 95cm, the board packed in a board bag fits comfortably inside airport scanners. The iQFoil 95 also includes deeper cut-aways than the iQFoil 100 that reduces tail volume and tail surface area. This helps to promote an even easier take-off.
Available in Carbon Reflex Sandwich construction.
THE NEW iQFOIL 85
Dimensions: 210x85cm. 153 liters
The new 85cm wide iQFoil is the one-design board for Junior and Youth. Smaller and more controllable for younger sailors, this new size shares the same racing genes as the 95. Starting as a Junior with the Junior foil set and the 6.0 rig, upgrading to Youth only requires a larger sail and a new foil front wing. It’s the most streamlined path from foil racing at a young age to the pinnacle of sports.
Available in Starlite Carbon construction.
Extra-large cutaways, more than double the size of the regular Formula’s, reduces the wetted area and improves take-off onto the foil.
SHARP RAILS AND BEVELED NOSE
The sharp rails in the tail allows the boards to get planing and reach take off speed more easily. Additionally, the board will bounce off the water if you clip the water surface instead of sticking and throwing you into a catapult.
The beveled nose improves aerodynamics and ultimately provides more control at high speeds.
RECESSED MAST TRACK
Deck concave and recessed mast track for a more vertical sailing position while closing the gap between the sail and the deck of the board.
Heel Extender are available for non Olympic races as an aftermarket accessory. They increase the effective width of the board in the tail, increase upwind/downwind angles in more control.
iQFoil 95 Recommended fin: Drake iQFoil 68 fin 68cm (Men) Drake iQFoil 66 fin 66cm (Women)
iQFoil 85 Recommended fin: Drake Race 56cm (Youth and Junior)
*Fins are included only in the iQFoil packages.
The iQFoil range comes with a the latest generation of Drake Ultralight straps. These straps are ideal for foiling when foot pressure is lighter than regular windsurfing. The Ultralight’s elongated screw slots also allow the rider to set their back strap extra-wide using hole spacings further apart. This allows the rider’s foot to shift forward for downwind and backwards for upwind, giving perfect trim-adjustment on the fly.
The Foil Box is larger and stronger than a normal fin box to distribute loads over a larger area. It is built using solid sheets of 20 mm thick high-density PVC with 8 mm thick carbon fibre walls, and has a flat, parallel bottom which allows the box to take both types of foil bases: tapered ‘Tuttle-style’ base and rectangular foil bases.
In either case, it is strongly recommended for the front of the foil’s base to reach the bottom of the box. This ensures that the vertical lifting load from the foil will be carried by both the front wall of the box and the bottom wall of the box.

THE FLAGSHIP CONSTRUCTION
OUR BEST VALUE OFFERING
iQFoil 95 Carbon Reflex is now the Olympic board for 2024 & 2028. Performance wise it is the easiest board that offers a smooth flight and very early take off. Being 95cm wide ensures no problems scanning the boards at airports. The construction was particularly reinforced as it will be intensely used as an Olympic board. We are also not leaving alone the Junior and Youth with the perfect Path Way with the iQFoil 85 StarLite Carbon who is the little sister of the Olympic version. As Junior and Youth will use smaller sails to preserve their physical development the board have to be smaller too to have something working in the same wind range as the 95. Results is an amazing toy very playful around race courses. Let’s bring the fun again to the Olympics and beyond.

For Proper Foil Installation:
Make sure that the top of the foil’s mast makes full contact with the bottom of the board’s foil box. This full-contact gives maximum support to the foil and sets the mast firmly at the recommended angle.
Use the teeth washer upside down for both Foil Torx screws to tie the foil at the max and to avoid any damage.
