This past 2020 has been a challenging year for me with lots of uncertainty and some up and downs. Lots of plans changes and difficulties to plan anything but it teached me as well to have the mindset to focus always on the positive side of things and to just keep working on my goals, enjoying the training process itself without loosing the focus.
I very grateful for the opportunities that were given to me by my previous sponsor over my last seven years of sponsorship.
They supported me and led me to what I have become and what I achieved.
But after this challenging year I am really happy to have signed with Starboard for Sup and Windsurf.
This is a great honour for me and a huge opportunity to develop myself as an athlete. It’s a big step to a new and exciting chapter as a person, Sup athlete, windsurfer and ocean lover. I am grateful to have now a supporter by my side who helps me to work on achieving my dreams.
About 2020:
This year I’ve spent a lot of time in my home town in Italy after many years of travelling non stop and this allowed me to find a good training routine and a good base to train and live. To have a routine, a base and some good training partners like a canoe team in my home town, and a very good playground, I think helped me to push my level. I’ve started combining my Sup trainings with mountain running and this gave me even more love for the endurance sports. Due to the lack of races this summer I’ve started competing in mountain running and will continue to do it.
plans for 2021:
This year I will continue my training in my home town which is giving me good quality training combined with being close to the mountains as well which help my endurance.
The race calendars for Sup are out so i am preparing and focusing on them:
The Eurotour, the Appworldtour and the ICF Worlds championships.
There is still a lot of uncertainty on the races dates so I will be flexible and mostly enjoy the training process which is for me the key of everything.
Regarding the Windsurf I will do the European events of the Pwa wave tour according to the Sup calendar.
