Beginner Windsurf Board

One For All

The iconic and irreplaceable GO windsurf boards: the progressive boards for improving beginners to advanced windsurfing. The perfect first board that helps you advance from your first steps to fully planing, carve jibing.

The GO beginner windsurf board range is completely refreshed for 2021 with new shapes, new sizes and an all-new Starlite construction.

The GO and GO Windsurfer boards at a glance

GO 122, 133, 144, 155: Progressive boards for improving beginners to advanced windsurfing.

The original Gravity Control System was introduced by Starboard as a revolutionary concept and has helped propel our iSonics and Formula boards to multiple world titles. The 202 GO boards now adopt the same principles bringing your sail more vertical for better control. It improves jibing performance by providing more rail pressure, giving you more grip, more power and more control while carving. The center of gravity is lowered, so you feel locked in, stable and ready to accelerate with every gust. GO 122,133 and 144 share the amazing shape features of the 2021 Carve line up.

Go WindSurfer 165, 175 and 185: A variation of the iconic GO series with more glide in non-planing conditions.

Instead of a centre fin box, the GO Windsurfer features a fully retractable daggerboard that makes it easier to stay upwind and learn to windsurf, while being more versatile from light to windy planing conditions.

New GO Duet 122

The compact freeride shape for kids and adults to share. As a kid’s board, its short, compact outline makes it easy to maneuver and handle. The centre fin* helps stay upwind and track in a straight line. For adults, remove the centre fin, adjust the straps to their performance positions and unlock the maximum performance mode of the board.
The Go Duet 122 comes in an orange/blue color combination.

*Center fin not included with the board accessories.

New GO 133 & 144

The 133 and 144 share the same shapes as the Carve E 133 and 144, with 20cm longer flat sections that get them planing super early, super easy and keep them planing efficiently through wind lulls.

New GO 155

A larger version of the 144. Replacing the outgoing 155, the shorter compact shape enhances control while planing up quicker and more easily thanks to the extended-flat rockerline concept.

New GO Windsurfer 165

Finally, this much requested model is made available within the GO Windsurfer range. The 165 size is the ideal entry-level and progressive board for smaller riders. Like the 175 and 195, the ‘Windsurfer’ variant of the GO has a retractable daggerboard and an elongated shape for a really nice traction and a nice glide before planing.

GO Windsurfer 175 & 195

A variation of the iconic GO series with more glide in non-planing conditions. The GO Windsurfer 175 and 195 also features a fully retractable daggerboard that makes it easier to stay upwind and learn to windsurf, while being more versatile from light to windy planing conditions. The shapes are carried-over, with their wide nose, long cut-aways, optimized profile and efficient rocker line. This together contributes to more glide, traction and ease of planing

A best-seller and our recommendation as a windsurfer’s first board.

Recessed Mast Track

Go 122, 133, 144, 155: Lower center of gravity and drive. More grip. More Power. More Control. More Fun.

Rocker Lines

The GO 122, 133, 144, 155: The secret to a whole new level of freeride performance: a 15 cm extended flat section in the rockerline. This gives a longer, more efficient planing surface that helps get you planing, keep planing and accelerate more with every gust.

The GO Windsurfer 165, 175, 195: Using a highly efficient and low rockerline, with an even volume distribution, allows the GO Windsurfer to glide smoothly and fast in light winds, with lots of longitudinal traction. It also lets the board accelerate onto the plane smoothly and more easily than before.

Center Fin/ Dagger Board

The GO 122, 133, 144 & 155 feature a centre fin (available separately) that helps you keep upwind and provides extra stability as you learn to windsurf. Remove the centre fin, fit the plug in and you have a full performance freeride board. Our recommended fin is the Drake Shallow 41.

The GO Windsurfer 165, 175 & 195 use our Clipperbox daggerboard system that clicks in and out and can be removed without tools, by positioning the daggerboard at 45 degrees and pulling up. The water-sealing rubber lips are ultra-durable and can also be replaced without tools. Learning to windsurf with a daggerboard or centre fin makes it easier to stay upwind while providing additional roll stability.

Drake Slick Footstraps

The Drake Slick footstraps are made with FSC-certified, sustainably sourced and plant-based Yulex foam. With 85% natural rubber content, CO² emitted during the manufacturing process is reduced by 80%. The remaining 15% of synthetic neoprene is kept to improve UV resistance.

Carefully sourced with the smoothest fabric for a comfortable feel.

The Go boards feature an additional 6mm thick padding at the footstraps, bringing added comfort to the full EVA deck.

Carry Handles

The GO Windsurfer 165, 175 & 195 feature a nose carry handle, making them easy to carry for kids.

They also feature a center carry handle for easy carrying under arm by an adult.

Inverted Colours

Every second GO windsurf board has an inverted color scheme. By inverting the colors we can save EVA that otherwise would have been waste. A more sustainable approach brings awareness, life and variation to the range.

Full Eva Deck

The deck has a large soft EVA finish, comfortable for your feet, knees and elbows. You get the grip without the cuts or rashes.

The EVA deck is raised above the edges of the board to allow the water to flow freely around the board and jibe smoothly without drag.
