We are excited to celebrate the victory of our freestyle machine Starboard iGnite at the 2023 Freestyle Pro Tour Board Construction rankings. The iGnite was present on many podium places throughout the 2023 FPT Tour. At the last stop of the Tour at Brouwersdam, we crowned the Freestyle European Champion Lennart Neubauer and the European Vice-Champion Steven Van Broeckhoven. In the Women’s fleet, Oda Johanne finished in 3rd place overall using the iGnite 87L, perfect for lighter riders and women. The iGnite is suitable for everybody from learning the first chop-hops and jumps to double power moves. It offers full control in the strong wind and early planing during the light wind days. Our top riders revealed why they chose the iGnite in 2023 on their way to the top.
Lennart about his iGNITE experience:
“I am really stoked to see the iGnite at the top of the 2023 FPT Rankings. It is not a surprise for me, to be honest, as I was expecting it. The board is performing great in all kinds of conditions that we experienced during the 2023 season. We had it all last year: strong winds, light winds, gusty winds, flat water, and bigger chop. The board performed really well in all of them. I can’t wait to start the new season in a couple of weeks with the 2024 Starboard iGnite.”

Oda about her year with the iGNITE:
“I am stoked to ride the iGnite and that Starboard wins the FPT Freestyle Board Constructors title! In Bonaire, I was using the 87L in all my heats. The 87L iGnite is the board I use 90% of the time. I recommend this board to any rider below 70 kilos. In the heats in Vieste in Italy I jumped on the iGnite 93 and with my 5.2 I was getting planing super fast which saved some heat wins that were important to get on the podium. The work our Starboard shaper Remi Vila has done with the iGnite is really appreciated by us, riders. Feeling that your board has no limits gives us a lot of confidence while freestyling and learning new tricks!”
