Ultra-quick to plane, with plenty of volume thanks to its thick tail, the Ignite accelerates like a lightning bolt. The Ignite Freestyle Windsurf Boards at a glance
The new 2021 Ignite is available in RTF (Ready To Foil) edition. This model replaces the PowerBox with a Foil Box to enable Foil Freestyle mode. A Drake Freestyle fin rebased into Deep Tuttle is made specifically for the RTF foil box, making the board convertible between fin freestyle and foil freestyle. The shape of the Ignite carries over from 2020, a shape that mixes freestyle and super-speed. They are shorter by a massive 13cm compared to the previous generation to make them super reactive. They have a faster rocker with less tail kick to boost top speed and acceleration. The maximum thickness point is directly under your back foot and the volume distribution is more concentrated between your feet for total control.
Two Fins Included
The Ignite is delivered with two fins: Drake Ready to Freestyle 18cm / 19cm / 21cm for pure freestyle. Drake FreeWave 24cm / 26cm / 28cm for supercross and high wind bump and jump. The RTF edition is delivered with only one fin, the Drake Ready to Freestyle in Deep Tuttle.
Color Coding System
Freestyle: place your mast base and footstraps following the blue marks.
Freeride: place your mast base and footstraps following the white marks.
Rockerline
The most important element behind the Ignite’s speed: ultra-fast rocker drawn from the iSonic slalom boards and adapted to the ultra-compact outline of the Ignites.
Bottom Shapes
The tail has a slight vee, like slalom boards, for more speed. This vee accentuates towards the front of the board for more forgiveness during rotational freestyle moves, more comfort and more control when cutting through heavy chop.
Tail Shape
The maximum thickness point of an Ignite is directly under your back foot. This volume distribution, more concentrated between your feet, gives you total control and pop in all maneuvers.
Powerbox
The regular Ignite features a Power Box for the most secure and strongest fit available today.
Yulex Footstraps
The Drake footstraps are made with FSC-certified, sustainably sourced and plant-based Yulex foam. With 85% natural rubber content, CO² emitted during the manufacturing process is reduced by 80%. The remaining 15% of synthetic neoprene is kept to improve UV resistance. Carefully sourced with the smoothest fabric for a comfortable feel.
Thick Pads
The Ignites feature 10mm thick footpads with a diamond grooving pattern that provides grip and comfort over extended sessions while being resistant to wear-and-tear.
R.T.F - Ready to Foil
The Ignite 93 and 103 are also available in RTF (Ready To Foil) versions. The foil box is 3cm further forwards for optimum foiling performance and a specially made freestyle fin with an offset base is supplied. This model does not have a freeride fin supplied or freeride footstrap settings.

They offer more feel, more responsiveness and more flex than conventional boards. The Carbon Reflex is limited in stock, built to order with a four month delivery lead time.
