Dream Team member Sarah Quita Offringa is the multiple PWA world champion in freestyle, waves and slalom and is always looking for new ways to challenge herself. In the past years the Caribbean rider also got into kitesurfing, winging and longboarding. All of those activities she can enjoy on her home turf in Aruba. Sarah Quita just released a new video, showing how she warms up for the upcoming season and says: ‘It makes me really, really happy!’ So here it is for you to enjoy and to share the stoke with our girl on the ABC islands.
ARUBA
BONAIRE
‘I fell in love with windsurfing in Bonaire! It also feels like home now, especially because of the windsurf community they have there. So I simply feel blessed that I can call Aruba and Bonaire home.’
A PERFECT DAY IN ARUBA
‘When I’m in Aruba it’s sometimes a race against time to do all the watersports in a day. Sometimes I manage to do everything, other days I need to pick and choose. But freestyle in the morning is always the priority.
After that, waves get priority because it doesn’t happen all the time in Aruba and when it does, then waves is all that matters hahaha.
The Fishermen’s Huts is known for its flatwater, but actually often enough there are some little waves rolling in, so then do I take the wing gear….or go for a longboard sesh?
And then at the end of the day it’s always a highlight to go Kitesurfing at Boca Grandi. Boca Grandi is at the Southern end of the island and it’s a completely different atmosphere. When you come back down you feel like you went on a mini vacation.’
