Another ✓ in my bucket list. Baltic Sea crossing! I sailed with Gunnar Asmussen
Since so many years, whenever I would go sailing in my home spot, I couldn’t help, but imagining to keep sailing until you arrive to the other side. You can’t see it, but a look on the map shows that Denmark is not too far.
The wind forecast aligned (well, sort of) and a couple of phone calls & a day later we find ourselves in Kiel to launch over to 🇩🇰 Denmark.
We sailed a total of 110km, which in itself is not a lot, but Gunnar Asmussen and I faced a couple of challenges, which made the trip an unforgettable memory. Sometimes childhood dreams do come true – this was one of them.
