Our Starboard young rider and rising star Liam Dunkerbeck, has made a big impact at the 2024 PWA Tenerife World Cup by winning the U21 Wave Boys category. This victory underlines his leading position in the U21 Wave rankings, marking him as one of the most promising athletes in his age group. But Liam didn’t stop there—he also reached the final of the Pro Men’s division in the single elimination, competing against some of the best wave sailors in the world. His success in both categories shows his skill and determination, making him a rising star to watch in the world of windsurfing.
Liam about his great performance in Tenerife:
“I’m very happy with my results in Tenerife. I sailed my first-ever final in the Pro men’s category and finished 4th. Despite missing the podium I am still super happy to be up there. This just gave me extra motivation to keep on pushing for the next events. Winning one more event in the U21 category makes me also happy because in the end after winning 4/4, you just want to stay in that first place.”
Liam was using the 2025 Starboard Ultra 82L.
