The PWA x IWT 2024 Aloha Classic in Maui wrapped up with unforgettable victories, marking a historic milestone for windsurfing legends and rising stars alike. This year, Sarah-Quita Offringa secured the Wave World Title, making her a 25-time World Champion. Sarah-Quita also made history winning three world titles in a single year across Freestyle, Slalom X, and Wave disciplines. Her triumph at Ho’okipa Beach Park solidified her place as one of the sport’s all-time greats.
After winning, Sarah-Quita shared her excitement after reaching the final and securing her World Title:
“I think it means more to me than I think. It’s cool to be in Hawaii again and I’m glad that I’m, I’m just glad that I could be out there and to be in the final now is like the cherry on top.”
On the youth side, Liam Dunkerbeck had an incredible performance, winning the Youth World Wave title again and becoming the 2024 Youth World Champion. He didn’t stop there; he also competed in the Pro Men’s division, going up against the best windsurfers and finishing in an impressive third place. His powerful wave rides and daring jumps showed just how talented he is, proving he’s one to watch in the world of windsurfing. Liam was using the Starboard Hyper 88L.
