LIGHTWEIGHT BOARDS DESIGNED FROM THE GROUND UP AS OUR LOWEST CARBON-FOOTPRINT.

Developed by Jean Louis Colmas in 1984, Wood Technology became Starboard’s trademark construction in 1995. Wood Tech remains a favourite for riders preferring more comfort, more control and the unique feel of an original Starboard. Time to bring back this Technology to reduce our Co2 Foot print. Deck is Full 0.6mm Australian Pine Wood on 3m H100 PVC to ensure durability and confort in a good weight ratio. The Wood will be less visible this time and protect by a nice plue paint who give a really nice effect. Let’s go back to Starboard Origin with Class.

Designed from the ground

Lightweight boards designed from the ground up as our lowest carbon-footprint boards. Natural 0.6mm Australian Pin Wood covers the deck of the board above PY who is 30% recycle PVC, providing overall stiffness and reduced weight.

NATURES WONDER MATERIAL

Wood Technology, introduced by Starboard back in 1995, weighed a kilo less than the best boards at the time. Today,  we bring back this Technology with the 0.6mm Australian Pine Wood but replace PVC by a more Eco Friendly Material by the PY who is a 30% recycle PVC It brings added stiffness. Crisp and responsive on the water, yet smooth, comfortable & Durable.

FLEX OPTIMIZATION

Along the rails on the UltraKode & Kode, we’ve added extra-light uni-directional carbon stripes to further stiffen the board between the back foot and the mast track.

SICOMIN BIO RESIN – GREENPOXY 33

We use GP33 plant-based bio resin from Sicomin which has half the carbon footprint of conventional, petroleum-based epoxy resin while maintaining a clear, high performance laminate with excellent U.V. resistance.

EPS CORE – 15.5 G/CM³ DENSITY

Shear resistant, fused and moulded individually to fit each and every Starboard mould to minimize waste.
