READY TO RACE
Fin or foil, from 5 knots to 35 knots, the Foil Race delivers the ultimate in windsurfing racing performance with just one board, one foil, one fin, one sail.
The Foil Race concept is similar to the concept of iQFoil boards. While the iQFoil boards needs to fit the rules of the iQFoil Class, the
Foil Race can benefit from some extra advantages.
The Foil Race 100 goes beyond the iQFoil’s 95cm max width limit for the ultimate in upwind/downwind racing performance. The Foil Race 85 shares the same shape as the iQFoil 85 but while the class-legal board is available exclusively in a budget-friendly construction, the Race Foil 85 is made in the lighter Carbon construction.
THE FOIL RACE IN DETAILS
The extra-large cutaways, more than double the size of the regular Formula’s and the extremely short nose help the board to plane and take-off in the lightest winds. Once up on the foil, the thicker tails of both models provide extra leverage and control while the short noses allow them to react instantly to every input from its rider: maximise every gust, fly consistently through lulls, fly deeper downwind and tighter upwind.
FOIL RACE 100 HEEL EXTENDERS
Heel extenders are available as an aftermarket accessory. They increase the effective width of the board in the tail to add control and increase upwind/downwind angles.
FOIL RACE 100 EXTRA THIN PADS
There are less impacts to absorb when foiling. In fact, there are none. So we’ve designed the pads to be extra thin for added control and kept the diamond grooves for the perfect grip.
The Foil Race range comes with a the latest generation of Drake Ultralight straps. These straps are ideal for foiling when foot pressure is lighter than regular windsurfing. The Ultralight’s elongated screw slots also allow the rider to set their back strap extra-wide using hole spacings further apart. This allows the rider’s foot to shift forward for downwind and backwards for upwind, giving perfect trim-adjustment on the fly.
CARBON REFLEX SANDWICH
THE FLAGSHIP CONSTRUCTION
The Carbon Reflex construction with fluorescent orange highlight colors is our lightest, most exclusive and limited edition flagship construction using a combination of the lightest biaxial carbon and uni-directional carbon. They offer the quickest acceleration and the earliest take-off speeds.
WHERE PERFORMANCE MEETS PRICE
Ultralight weight at a more affordable price and using more environmentally friendly materials. The bottom is built in full T700 uni-directional flat-woven carbon for maximum stiffness while the deck is 60% carbon, alternating between uni-directional and bi-axial carbon layers for optimized flex. The composite sandwich layers include the use of ultra-high density PET and PVC foam.

For Proper Foil Installation:
Make sure that the top of the foil’s mast makes full contact with the bottom of the board’s foil box. This full-contact gives maximum support to the foil and sets the mast firmly at the recommended angle.
Use the teeth washer upside down for both Foil Torx screws to tie the foil at the max and to avoid any damage.
For every board sold, we plants a mangrove in the Thor Heyerdahl Climate Park, absorbing one ton of CO2 over 20 years. Learn more >
